Kelly replaces Mead in England´s Nations League squad

Chloe Kelly has been recalled to the England squad ahead of the Lionesses’ Nations League fixtures against Portugal and Spain later this month.
Kelly made her first appearance for Arsenal since joining the Gunners on loan from Manchester City on Sunday, featuring in a 5-0 win over rivals Tottenham.
The 27-year-old replaces Arsenal team-mate Beth Mead in the squad, who was an unused substitute in their convincing victory over Robert Vilahamn’s side.
Aston Villa midfielder Lucy Parker also joined up with Sarina Wiegman’s side, coming into the squad in place of Lotte Wubben-Moy, who also missed Sunday’s north London derby.
Speaking after the game, Arsenal boss Renee Slegers said Mead was dealing with a calf strain while Wubben-Moy suffered a muscle injury during the week and required a scan.
The Lionesses reunited at St. George’s Park on Monday before flying to the Algarve to face Portugal in the opening Nations League fixture on Friday.
England then return to Wembley on 26 February to take on Spain, in what will be a repeat of the 2023 World Cup final.
